COVID-19 Impact

Updated: May 20

The Wellness and Recreation Center and Carmichael Gym follow the NC Department of Health and Human Services Interim Guidance for Indoor Fitness Centers and Gyms Settings. Occupancy limits will follow all current state guidelines directed by the Governor’s Executive Orders.

Following University guidelines, face coverings are required in Wellness and Recreation indoor facilities, except when using the pool, showering and actively eating or drinking. Each individual must assess whether they can safely perform an exercise while wearing a face covering.

People not using a face covering (outside of the exceptions noted) will be asked to put one on or leave the area to help maintain the safety of the NC State community.
