Big Pink volleyball tournament held to raise money for Kay Yow Cancer Fund

On Thursday February 11, University Recreation partnered with Big Pink Volleyball to hold a tournament with proceeds going towards the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, a breast cancer awareness foundation. Kay Yow was the Women’s Basketball coach at NC State until she was diagnosed with cancer in 1987. Yow passed away in 2009, but her legacy lives…

University Recreation Holds Inaugural Goalball Tournament

Last Friday, University Recreation held a Goalball tournament, where participants wore blindfolds and kneepads during games. On Courts 5 and 8 in the Carmichael Gymnasium, 10 teams competed to be Goalball champions. The games were 30 minutes long, and were divided into 12 minute halves. NIRSA Basketball Tournament to be held at NC State

NC State University Recreation will be hosting the 13th Annual NIRSA National Basketball Championship Friday, April 17 to Sunday, April 19.
