UREC Comes Together for Cookies and Cocoa

On Wednesday December 7, University Recreation celebrated the end of the semester at Cookies and Cocoa. UREC students from all departments came together to enjoy festive refreshments and honor the graduating seniors. Suzanne Hunt, Coordinator for Wellness Outreach at UREC sees Cookies and Cocoa as a great opportunity to give the graduating seniors the recognition they deserve. “All of the students at UREC are very dedicated so I think it is important to thank them for their hard work. Since UREC is the largest on campus employer, I think it is a great thing that they give us the opportunity to show our appreciation to our seniors.”

Cookies and Cocoa also gives students from different departments within UREC the chance to get to know each other better. Rachel Radulovich thinks it is important to interact with students from different departments of UREC. “Cookies and Cocoa is a lot of fun and a great break from studying but it also gives me the chance to meet new people in UREC. I think it is important to have the opportunity to hear about what students do in the other departments” Cookies and Cocoa is one of the great ways that UREC tries to connect their employees with one another.

These kinds of events provide a sense of community to the UREC student employees and pro staff alike. Cookies and Cocoa was the perfect way to end the semester and bring the entire UREC family together.
