Locker Room Project Featured in Athletic Business Magazine

University Recreation was recently featured in Athletic Business Magazine for progress of the Locker Room Renovation and Fitness Center Expansion Project. The article addresses current trends and drivers of collegiate recreation facilities, and how those are met through renovations of locker rooms and underutilized space.

Jason Spivey, Associate Director of University Recreation, said “For us, the big drive was wanting to capture the underutilized space and open it up to more fitness programming.”

On Monday, February 1, additional spaces will become available due to the Locker Room project. Equipment checkout and clothing rental will become available to Carmichael Complex users, as well as access to a portion of the new locker rooms.
