Locker Room Renovation Construction Scheduled to Begin

Starting Monday, June 15, construction will begin on the the Carmichael Locker Room Renovation and Fitness Center Expansion project. Construction is expected to last several months, and multiple spaces within the Carmichael Complex will be impacted during the project.

The primary entrance to the Carmichael Gym has been relocated to the Aquatic Center Entrance, which will allow access into designated areas into both Men and Women’s Locker Rooms. In addition, a new entrance located alongside the Aquatics center has been created to provide access to racquetball courts, courts 9-11, dance studio, indoor track, indoor climbing wall, and weight and fitness spaces.

Courts 1-8 of the Carmichael Gym are scheduled to reopen at the beginning of the Fall 2015 semester. Courts 9-11 are available for informal recreation use.

Effective Monday, June 15, equipment checkout been relocated to the Tennis Court Entrance until construction is complete. Clothing service has been discontinued at this time and will remain unavailable until the completion of the project.
