Fall 2020 Outdoor Adventures trips will be limited to on-campus activities at Lake Raleigh.

Get away from campus and meet us at Lake Raleigh for canoeing or kayaking. Come when you can and stay as long as you’d like for a good time and to meet new friends.

Canoeing and kayaking by appointment only. To maintain physical distancing requirements please pre-register to reserve your time.

Want to get outside for a couple of hours on a Saturday morning and meet new people or explore the local trails? Get away for a leisurely hike through the woods on this beginner-friendly outing.

Join us for an evening of exploring the bike trails and greenways around Raleigh. Equipment and trip leaders are included. Beginners are welcome, but you must be comfortable riding a bike for a couple of hours to participate

Note: This is a beginner-friendly trip but does require participants to have the ability to ride a minimum of two miles.

How to Register

  • Bring your Wolfpack One Card to the Member Services desk in Carmichael Gym between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m., Monday – Thursday
  • Trip fee is due by credit card only (no cash or check accepted) when you signup and trips are sold on a first-come/first-serve basis.

Trip Information

  • You must read pre-trip e-mails and complete the online waiver prior to the trip.
  • Alcohol, tobacco and drug use are prohibited for the duration of the trip. If you violate these rules you are subject to removal from the trip and transportation back to NC State will be at your expense.


To be considered for a refund, please inform us least two weeks before the trip can you can no longer attend. You must fill out a refund request, which must be turned into us. Deposits on trips are non-refundable.

For personal emergencies, partial or full refunds between two weeks and the trip meeting may be provided in consideration of written and verifiable proof of inability to attend (a doctor’s note). Documentation must be provided five working days before the trip’s departure date in order for any refund to be considered. No refunds will be given after this period regardless of the reason.

All refunds are at the discretion of the outdoor adventures coordinator. Refunds will be provided if we cancel the activity.
