Miller Field

Stretching over eight acres, Miller Field is home to a variety of Wellness and Recreation activities, including intramural sports, club sports and special events.

Located on the east side of Miller Field is the 4,000 square foot outdoor functional fitness area known as the FitGround. Situated near the Rocky Branch Greenway Trail, the FitGround perfectly complements your outdoor workout with a variety of equipment, including dip bars, sit-up benches, wall ball targets, box jumps and cargo net.

This space is available for use during normal Wellness and Recreation Center and Carmichael Gym hours of operation and is subject to change due to field conditions, inclement weather and previously-scheduled programming.

Basketball Courts

Located on the south side of the Wellness and Recreation Center and Carmichael Gym, there are four paved outdoor basketball courts available for drop-in use during normal facility hours of operation.

Tennis Courts

Located between the basketball courts and the Casey Aquatic Center on the south side of the Wellness and Recreation Center and Carmichael Gym, there are 12 outdoor tennis courts available for drop-in use during normal facility hours of operation.


Centennial Campus

Disc Golf Course

Nestled near Lake Raleigh is the 9-hole disc golf course. Completed in 2010, this challenging, rustic course is available free of charge for NC State students, faculty and staff.

Centennial Recreation Fields

Located on the corner of Achievement and Varsity Drives, Centennial Recreation Fields includes two 2.5-acre playing fields which host various Wellness and Recreation programs and special events.

Greenway Par Course

Take your next run along the Greenway to the next level by stopping at one of the five par-course stations located throughout the 2.5-mile run across Centennial Campus. These stations consist of both upper and lower body exercise equipment.


Method Road Complex

Spanning more than four acres, Method Road accommodates Wellness and Recreation programs, Health and Exercise Studies classes and other university groups.
