Want to challenge yourself to make a lifestyle change? Register for one of our wellness challenges and start working toward a healthier you.

All wellness challenges are email-based, free and open to all members of the Wolfpack community unless otherwise noted.

Pack Pause Mindfulness Challenge

  • Dates: Monday, Sept. 9 – Friday, Sept. 20
  • Register by: Friday, Sept. 6

This two-week challenge will guide you through daily activities aimed at unlocking the power of being in the present moment. Mindfulness and meditation have been shown to boost focus, improve our sense of well-being and strengthen our attention – all vital to being successful socially and academically. All experience levels welcome!

Weekly Themes:

  • Week 1: Choose Your Own Path
    • Select 2-3 mindfulness pathways to incorporate into your daily schedule. Be intentional with your choices by choosing paths with different benefits.
  • Week 2: Reflection
    • Reflect on the benefits of the mindfulness practices you chose and identify any changes or consistencies in your patterns of thought, mood and emotion.

Prize: Three participants to complete the challenge will be randomly selected to win a Mindfulness Kit featuring affirmation stickers, a journal and more!

Step to It Movement Challenge

  • Dates: Monday, Oct. 7 – Tuesday, Nov. 5
  • Register by: Friday, Oct. 4

This four-week team challenge is designed to encourage you to move and compete as a group to record the most steps. Teams consist of 3-10 participants, with one team captain. This challenge is open to students, faculty and staff.

Guidelines: Individual team members will record their steps daily, and submit their weekly totals to their team captain. Team captains will submit their team’s totals by the deadlines listed below. Submissions received after the weekly deadline will not be recorded!

Challenge Schedule:

Oct. 16-22Tuesday, Oct. 24
Oct. 23-29Tuesday, Oct. 31
Oct. 30 – Nov. 5Tuesday, Nov. 7
Nov. 6-12Tuesday, Nov. 14

Prize: The team with the most cumulative steps will be the single winning team for this challenge. Prize information coming soon!
