Below are accessibility features, inclusive spaces and adaptive programs offered by Wellness and Recreation.
ADA pool lift

The Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center provides wheelchair accessibility onto the pool deck for spectating purposes and pool use. ADA compliant lifts are available for individuals to enter and exit both the 25-yard and the 50-meter pools.

Challenge Course
The Challenge Course at Schenck Forest features a universal design to provide accessible, integrated and inclusive challenge course programming. Through specialized equipment, all members of the NC State community, regardless of physical limitations, are provided an opportunity to increase their social, physical and emotional wellness through participation in both high and low challenge course activities.

Private Fitness Studios

All rooms are open for use during facility hours and have doors that close for private use. Studios are located in 3600 (3rd floor of the Wellness and Recreation Center, across the sky bridge). There is a single large room that can be used by small groups and four private fitness studios with various fitness equipment including Echelon Mirrors and TVs.

Wellness and Recreation also offers wheelchair-accessible cardio equipment in the form of arm-ergometers. Each arm-ergometer provides a removable seat, which allows for the addition of a wheelchair with ease. There are various multifunctional, accessible pieces of cable strength equipment – each piece of equipment includes easy-reach handles for improved accessibility.
Wellness and Recreation Center, Room 2152
Wellness and Recreation provides a secured and comfortable personal health room located on the second floor of the Wellness and Recreation Center. Restrooms are located directly across the hall.
Amenities
This room includes a countertop, mirror, chair, paper towels and power outlets.
Access
The door to this room requires an access code via keypad and is lockable from the inside.
