Moonlight Howl and Run
A signature Wolfpack Welcome Week event, the Moonlight Howl and Run is a great way to actively get to know campus. Meet us at the Memorial Belltower under the moonlight to kick off this 1.3-mile fun run. The race will end at Stafford Commons for a post-race party complete with music, snacks and photo ops with Mr. and Mrs. Wuf.

Registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug 21.
Check-in and Packet Pick-up
- Date: Wednesday, Aug 21
- Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Location: Piedmont Ballroom, Talley Student Union
Participants must present their NC State ID in order to check-in and pick up their packets. Packets include t-shirts (for the first 1,800 to check in) and glow accessories. A final check-in option is available at the Memorial Belltower on Thursday, Aug 22 between 7 – 8 p.m.
No shirts or glow accessories will be available on-site the day of the event.

Who is eligible to participate?
All NC State University students, faculty and staff are eligible to participate. T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 1,800 participants who pre-register and check in.
How do I register?
Register online by Wednesday, Aug 21. The earlier, the better!
What should I wear?
Stand out from the crowd during Moonlight Howl and Run by wearing bright, neon athletic clothing. Get creative by adding optional accessories like hats, fanny packs, tutus and more!

When and where can I get my Moonlight Howl and Run shirt?
T-shirts and glow accessories will be given to the first 1,800 participants to check in during Packet Pick-up at Talley Student Union in the Piedmont Ballroom on Wednesday, Aug 21 between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Participants must present their NC State ID to receive their t-shirts and glow accessories.
When and where will the run take place?
The race will begin promptly at 9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug 22. It is recommended participants arrive by 8 p.m. Pre-race activities will begin by 8:15 p.m.

- The run/walk will begin at the Memorial Belltower.
- Head West toward the Court of North Carolina Trail.
- Turn South on Current Drive.
- Turn West on Stinson Drive.
- Turn North on W. Broughton Drive.
- Turn West on Founders Drive.
- Turn South on Dan Allen Drive.
- Turn East on Thurman Drive near Pullen Hall.
- Continue behind the residence halls toward the finish line at Stafford Commons.
Will the race be canceled due to bad weather?
The run will be canceled if inclement weather is expected to arrive during the event. An email will be sent to all registered participants if a decision is made to cancel.

Are dogs allowed on the run?
While we love our furry family members, dogs are not allowed on the race route.
