Alexis Steptoe
Bio
Alexis first joined the Wellness and Recreation team in 2017 as Coordinator,Wellness where she focused on outreach programs, establishing the campus-wide wellness coaching program, and supporting students in holistically developing their health and wellness. In February 2022, Alexis rejoined the team as Assistant Director, Wellness. In this new capacity, she helps advance the well-being of students, faculty, and staff through strategic planning and creative programming to help shape the culture of wellness on NC State’s campus.
Alexis received a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Health Education and Health Promotion from Radford University and obtained her Master of Public Health in Community Health Education from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is a Nationally Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES.) In 2020, Alexis was awarded the National Wellness Institute’s Emerging Wellness Professional award.
When she’s not busy helping support others in leading healthier lifestyles, Alexis enjoys exploring the greater Raleigh community, a good Target run, and spending time with her family.
