Climbing Basics Clinic

New to climbing? Learn how to belay at the Climbing Center by registering for a Climbing Basics clinic. Learn basic climbing skills and belay safely, then test your belay skills to get your belay card.

Climbing Basic clinics are limited to six (6) participants per clinic. It is recommended that you register for a clinic in advance through the MyWellRec Portal or in-person at member services, located in the lobby of the Wellness and Recreation Center. All clinic registration will close 15-minutes prior to the start of the clinic.

Once you have registered, you will meet at the Climbing Center located on the first floor of the Wellness and Recreation Center at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the clinic. This will allow you to check-in with the Climbing Center staff and retrieve the equipment needed for the clinic.

Program charges are non-refundable unless canceled by the department.
